Welcome to the New Jungle Momma
Jungle Momma began with a simple question:
How do we feed a family in a way that is deeply nourishing, genuinely delicious, and realistic for everyday life?
For a long time, this space followed my personal transformation—my health, my strength, my habits, my struggles, and everything I was learning along the way.
That journey is still part of the story. But Jungle Momma is growing into something bigger.
This next chapter is about the whole family. Because change doesn't happen in a vacuum. For me, it happens around a table set for five.
It is about food that supports growing children, busy parents, strong bodies, steady energy, healthy digestion, and long-term wellness—without making separate meals for everyone at the table.
It is about creating food that kids actually want to eat and adults feel good serving.
Our New Focus
Jungle Momma is now centered on plant-forward, high-protein, high-fiber family nutrition, with fermented foods and plant diversity woven into everyday meals.
That means you can expect:
- High-protein breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and treats
- Plant-forward meals that still feel comforting and satisfying
- Family recipes designed for both children and adults
- Simple ways to add more fiber and plant diversity
- Ferments that are approachable and practical
- Meals that support strength, growth, energy, digestion, and recovery
- Honest conversations about feeding children in the real world
This is not about perfection.
It is not about forcing children to eat giant bowls of kale or preparing five different dinners every night.
It is about building a family food culture where nourishing food tastes good, meals feel joyful, and everyone at the table can thrive.
One Meal for the Whole Family
One of the biggest challenges parents face is trying to meet everyone’s needs at once.
Children need enough energy to grow.
Parents may be trying to build muscle, improve metabolic health, support hormones, increase fiber, or simply feel better.
Someone may love vegetables. Someone else may refuse anything green.
Jungle Momma recipes are designed with that reality in mind.
The goal is to create a strong, flexible base meal that works for the whole family, with simple adjustments when needed.
A child might receive a deconstructed bowl.
A parent might add extra greens, fermented vegetables, or a larger protein serving.
The meal stays connected, even when the plates look slightly different.
The Jungle Momma Foundation
The recipes and ideas shared here will be built around four guiding principles.
Protein
Protein supports growth, strength, recovery, stable energy, and satisfaction.
Family meals should contain a meaningful protein source, not leave everyone hungry again an hour later.
Plants
Plants provide fiber, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, color, flavor, and variety.
We are not chasing perfection. We are simply learning how to add more plants, more often.
Fiber
Fiber supports digestion, the gut microbiome, blood sugar regulation, and long-term health.
Many families do not get enough, so we will focus on easy and delicious ways to include more beans, whole grains, vegetables, fruit, seeds, nuts, and legumes.
Ferments
Fermented foods can bring flavor, tradition, and beneficial microbes to the family table.
From yogurt and sourdough to simple vegetables and sauces, ferments will remain an important part of the Jungle Momma kitchen.
Food Should Still Taste Amazing
Nutrition matters, but taste matters too.
A meal is only useful if your family wants to eat it.
Jungle Momma recipes will always prioritize flavor, texture, comfort, and joy.
There will be creamy plant-based sauces, crispy veggie burgers, protein-packed pancakes, nourishing noodle bowls, family pastas, colorful soups, chocolate treats, and plenty of meals that do not feel like “health food.”
The goal is not to make healthy food that is acceptable.
The goal is to make food that is so good your family asks for it again.
The Founder’s Log Is Still Here
My personal transformation story is not disappearing.
The Founder’s Log will remain as a separate space for reflections on health, motherhood, strength, aging, creativity, identity, and building Jungle Momma.
But the main Jungle Momma blog is now dedicated to helping families eat, grow, and thrive together.
What Comes Next
In the months ahead, I will be sharing new recipes, family meal strategies, practical nutrition guidance, and behind-the-scenes work from the upcoming Jungle Momma cookbook.
This is a new beginning, but it is also a return to the original heart of Jungle Momma:
Making really good food that nourishes the people we love most.
Welcome to the new Jungle Momma.
A stronger family begins at the table.
